316 Refuge

”Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these…you did for me.”

Matthew 25:40

The 316 Church has long carried the dream for The 316 Refuge. In February of 2021, we started the Love Thy Neighbor campaign and raised $20,000 in a few days and were able to house 77 homeless for a week to get them out of the record breaking low temperatures. Since then, we’ve been carrying and building strategic plans to serve our most vulnerable. Our ultimate vision is to have a safe houses, rehabilitation homes and partnerships with other orgs to mobilize city-wide efforts for change and rehabilitation that will serve everyone who needs it, not limited to the homeless.

Shelter & Rain

Eric & Janie Ford

Shelter and Rain was founded in September, 2017 and has been involved in many anti-trafficking initiatives across the US.  They were instrumental in launching the Salina Area Coalition for Trafficked Persons,  partnering with non profits in California to open a residential home for adult survivors, and cultivating restorative relationships with foster youth who were survivors of commercial sexual exploitation.  Shelter and Rain currently networks within Wichita, Kansas, and the Central Coast of California to mentor survivors towards healing and growth.  Shelter and Rain cultivates inner healing for survivors through the context of restorative relationships. Eric & Janie are also members of The 316 Church and have been walking with and supporting Pastors Cam & Stephanie since planting.

Please partner with us in this effort, we’d love to hear from you!
