Message Title: Part 3

Message Summary: What kind of patient are we when we come to Jesus? There is a profound difference between wanting relief and wanting restoration, and this sermon drives that distinction straight to the heart. Drawing from John 3, we explore the moment Jesus tells Nicodemus that no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born again, and we begin to understand that the gospel is not simply a transaction that makes our pain stop. Jesus came not to condemn the world but to save it, and the Greek word for save, sozo, carries the weight of being safe and sound on solid, unshakable ground. That is the foundation we are invited to stand on. The message challenges us to move beyond a gospel of relief and into a gospel of genuine transformation, one where we allow the light not just to expose our darkness but to lead us out of it. When Jesus sat and ate with tax collectors and sinners, he was not afraid of their brokenness, and he is not afraid of ours. He is the physician who does not flinch at the diagnosis. The real question is whether we trust him enough to follow his full instructions, even when that means change.
