Sermon Series: Strength for the Journey

Message Title: Church at the Table

Message Summary: What if the very things we dismiss as insignificant in our lives are actually the raw material God is waiting to use? This gathering takes us on a journey through the series Strength for the Journey, and at its heart is a challenge that cuts straight to the core of how we see ourselves and our circumstances. Drawing from the story of Elijah and the widow, the account of Caleb and Joshua among the spies, and the courage of the Hebrew boys in the fire, we are confronted with a recurring truth: our perspective reveals what we truly believe about God. When the spies looked at the promised land and saw giants, they were not just reporting facts. They were exposing the smallness of their faith. Faith, as we explore it here, does not pretend obstacles do not exist. It simply refuses to let those obstacles grow larger than the God who stands behind every promise. We are invited to ask ourselves honestly where in our own lives we have been doing exactly that, allowing what we see to eclipse what God has already spoken. The conversations that unfold around the table bring this truth to life in deeply personal ways, reminding us that the journey of faith is not walked alone but together, and that showing up for one another is itself an act of worship.
