safety & welcome Team

Role in Our Church
The Safety & Welcome Team is the first connection people make when they arrive at church. Through preparation, hospitality, and security, we create a space where every person feels safe, seen, and cared for.
More than tasks, we reflect the heart of Jesus — welcoming all with open arms and serving as the hands and feet of Christ. Each week, we ask God to help us see people through His eyes, recognizing their value and story.
In our church, everyone is welcome. Our team sets the tone for a place where people encounter not just safety and belonging, but the deep love of Christ.

The Safety & Welcome Team is made up of four essential roles:

  • Set-Up: Prepares the physical environment to be welcoming, functional, and safe.

  • Welcome: From greeting guests with a warm smile to setting up chairs, signage, and refreshments, this team creates an inviting and comfortable space for worship and community.

  • Hosts: As the welcoming voice of the church, the host helps set the tone for the service, leading the congregation in prayer, sharing scripture, short heartfelt words of encouragement and ensuring everyone is informed about upcoming events.

  • Safety: Ensures that worship services, events, and children’s ministry areas remain secure, allowing attendees to focus on worship and fellowship with peace of mind.

Each role is critical to helping people experience the love, care, and excellence of our church community.
