Message Title: Church at the Table
Message Summary: What if the most profound truth about God isn't something we need to solve, but Someone we need to encounter? This powerful exploration of the Trinity invites us beyond theological puzzles into the very heart of divine relationship. Drawing from Jesus' prayer in John 17, we discover an astonishing invitation: to be brought into complete unity with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—the same unity they share with one another. The parable of the prodigal son becomes a window into understanding God not as a distant ruler but as a radically loving Father who values our freedom so highly that He risks heartbreak. We're challenged to consider why God honors free will above forced obedience, and how this shapes the way we love others. The image of Jesus washing His disciples' feet—including Judas, knowing full well the betrayal to come—confronts our cultural separation of power from servanthood. True leadership, we learn, is always a demotion to service, not a promotion to control. As we examine the Father's love, the Son's humility, and the Spirit's presence, we're asked to identify where God is inviting us to our next step of growth. The answer often lies in our struggle to receive grace without strings attached, to understand that God's love is unrequited—given freely without expectation of return.
